There are a number of habits that we've seen help in raising the conversion rate with online reviews. Here are a few tips and tricks that some of the best Revetize users are employing:

Offer a Great Service

One of the biggest keys to setting yourself up to receive a lot of 5-star reviews is that you're actually offering a great service to start out with! Make sure that your customers are completely satisfied. Be personable. Don't cut corners. Give your best to your customers and they will do the same in return. 

Give a Heads Up

Another big key to getting reviews is giving your customers a heads up that you will be texting them and asking for a review. This honestly can be very simple. Just a simple, "Thanks for coming in today, Ryan! Can I text you a link to leave us a quick review?" will do the trick. As long as you were kind and offered a great service, you will be turned down very rarely. Doing this helps to ensure that your customer is both fine receiving your text and will be looking for your text to come in. 

Timing

If a customer comes into your store, makes a purchase, you tell them you'll be sending them a text for a review, and then you end up sending the text 5 hours later, what do you think they're going to do? Yes, they could be just fine and leave the review. But 5 hours later your customer is very likely going to be in a meeting, having dinner with their family, or working on some other project. Send the text right away when your customer is already excited about their experience with you and is thinking about your company. We've found that this is a really big factor in getting reviews. So, either make sure you're staying on top of sending those messages out or get integrated :)

Personalized Messaging

There is a big difference between receiving a very general, robot-generated text that's sent out to a list of 5,000 people and receiving a highly personalized text from an actual human. Most customers DO NOT feel a need to respond to a robotic-sounding text, but DO feel a need to respond to the kind technician that just cleaned their carpets. So, switch things up and make sure that the wording in your texts is a blend of professional, personalized, and to-the-point! Your texts will be a breath of fresh air amongst other business texting!

Consistency

As elementary as this sounds, be consistent with this! There are always going to be a few customers that don't end up leaving a review for a number of different reasons, but as you continue, you will start seeing those reviews come in.
